A beautiful setting of John 14:27 and 18 (KJV) for SATB choir (with some divisi) and piano accompaniment. Appropriate for general worship services or as a stand alone concert piece. Moderately difficult, performable by advanced high school choirs and college concert choirs. With standard voice ranges E2 to E5, the work starts very peacefully, crescendos and becomes intensely dramatic in the a cappella mid section with a return to the earlier peaceful feeling in the final bars. There is also an a cappella arrangement in this same catalog. |
